Year 1
This module is part of the integrative kernel. It will introduce you to the field of cognitive science.
This module is based on the Cognitive Science I module of the first semester. It has the aim to deepen knowledge on central questions, key concepts, and approaches in cognitive science in their historical context.
This module introduces you to different research questions and approaches in the field of cognitive science.
This module enables you to do a small research project in one of the core disciplines of cognitive science.
Four disciplinary modules (at least two on basic level) in the core disciplines of cognitive science have to be completed during the first year.

Two methods modules have to be completed during the first year, either “Basic Programming” and “Basic Statistics” (if not part of previous studies) or advanced methods modules.

Year 2
This modules consists of a journal club and a topic-seminar, which provides a deeper understanding of a current approach in cognitive science.
This module enables you to do an interdisciplinary research project on a phenomenon in cognitive science.
This module enables you to do an interdisciplinary research project or attend courses from different disciplines on a phenomenon in cognitive science.
Within this module you discuss your master thesis in an interdisciplinary setting as well as present it in a talk on the MEi:CogSci Conference.
This module is the frame for your master thesis.
You are free to choose 5 ECTS to e.g. learn the language of your host country.
